The Beauty and The Beast

Visiting the New Fantasyland was quite a neat experience, though strange, because there is a giant construction site in the middle of all this new, beautiful decor. I was most excited about the new Beauty and the Beast area, because if I have to give a favorite princess, it's definitely Belle. For the record, I was obsessed with 101 Dalmations as a kid, and my all time favorite is Lilo & Stitch. I planned this outfit to be a take on Belle's yellow ball gown with gold accents, which was perfect since we ended the evening with dinner at the new Be Our Guest Restaurant.

Dinner was amazing! The dining room was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the desserts extravagant and yummy, just as it should be.

  2. Beauty and the Beast was my favorite as a kid. I had a Belle costume that I would dress up in while I walked around the house carrying a basket of books and singing! haha. I love that you used her as inspiration. Of all the Disney princesses, I feel like she's the one I can identify with most...a sense of adventure, a love of books, and she lives in the countryside!

  3. I get giddy every time I see one of your Disney posts! I love love love that dress, and the way it highlights your amazingly sweet tattoo. I'm really tempted to buy that necklace now as well (did you have Chip in mind?). Was there a show at the Be Our Guest restaurant? (If not, what a missed opportunity!)Lovely photos as well <3

    1. Yes - I did have Chip & Mrs. Potts in mind with the tea cup necklace - it was the PERFECT necklace for this. And they just have the Beast walk through every like 20 minutes to music and announce you can take photos with him - here's a photo of me and my sis with the beast : http://www.flickr.com/photos/o_hai/8435621601/in/photostream

  4. There is absolutely NOTHING I don't love more than this blog right now. Your outfit and nails were fantastic... and that necklace!! I'm thrilled you got to visit New Fantasyland even if it is still a work progress-- thanks for sharing the pics.

As a kid, my favorite 2D film was Sleeping Beauty, and I wanted Princess Aurora's hair and singing voice.

  20. Belle's my favorite princess, too! (followed closely by Rapunzel from Tangled) The dress is really cute and the necklace is a really nice touch for the Belle theme. The pictures turned out really nice. I hope you had a nice time!

When I was little my favorite Disney movie was Robin Hood, and Cinderella was my favorite princess, but now that I'm older Tangled is my favorite movie and princess!

Your trip looks so fun!! I've never really wanted to go to Disney world before, but you're making me want to! Hope you're having tons of fun!

  28. That is awesome that they have a Beauty and the Beast section too! They never had one before? That is so strange! Your dress is fantastic.
My favorite disney princess is Rapunzel, but that is also because it has been my favorite faerytale since I was a child (in case you couldn't tell by me having long hair). The movie is amazing though too. Wish it came out when I was little.
Beauty & the Beast and Aladdin were my favorites as a child though.

I adore your yellow dress! The texture of it is so neat. And that teacup necklace is charming!

  31. New Fantasyland looks gorgeous and I love the fact that your dress choice was inspired by Belle's ball gown :) And the teacup necklace is a nice little nod to Chip! I found a pair of gold fork earrings so I'm trying to put together an Ariel outfit to go with them! Have you heard of this Tumblr page called DisneyBound? This girl makes a bunch of outfits on Polyvore that are inspired by Disney characters, it's really cute!

  32. That necklace with the teacup makes me squee. A yellow dress at the restaurant was sweet but the necklace is just 'd'awwww' and perfection! I like that Belle is into books and is a little bit of a nerd, way cooler than Sleeping Beauty.

  33. As for combining our wardrobes, I couldn't agree more! You pretty much own everything I could ever want and we probably have the same items on our wishlists. This dress is perfect. I love the cut and the back detail is my favorite. I love how it shows off your tattoo!

When I was little Jasmine was my favorite. Being Argentinian, I thought Jasmine looked like my mom and I loved her! Little did I know she wasn't a Latina princess haha!
